CLIO AWARDED

PRODUCT DESIGN

As a Co-founder/inventor of Chill Steel Pipes my work involved designing, prototyping, and branding a groundbreaking smoking device that earned CLIO recognition and national retail adoption.

Chill began by partnering with Rich Gonzalez, building on his vision and patent, and together reimagining what a water pipe could be. We identified a gap in the marketplace for a product that combined durability, performance, and design sophistication. We co-founded Chill Steel Pipes, the world’s first stainless-steel, double-wall vacuum-insulated water pipe, protected by U.S. patents and celebrated as a category-defining innovation. This to be a water pipe for everyone—simple, durable, and classy enough to be on display anywhere.

I led all aspects of the design process, from concept sketches and parametric CAD modeling to functional 3D-printed prototypes and production-ready engineering. Working closely with our factory partners, I integrated manufacturing constraints into the design cycle. We were able to ensure an elegant, manufacturable product without compromising on quality. This sustainable, non-destructive workflow future-proofed our design iterations and accelerated our development timelines.

Beyond the flagship product itself, I developed a complete brand and design ecosystems for Chill: packaging, visual identity, stylized product colorways, and accessory lines. I also designed and helped our team execute our trade show booths and kiosks, ensuring that every customer touchpoint reflected the same level of craftsmanship and innovation as the product.
